These terms apply to all use of Cerdas Academy's website and course services. By enrolling in a course or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Academy", "we", "us", "our" — Cerdas Academy, registered in Malaysia
- "User", "you", "learner" — any person accessing this website or enrolled in a course
- "Course" — any programme offered by Cerdas Academy, including Data Foundations for AI, Machine Learning in Practice, and Deep Learning Projects
- "Content" — all course materials, notebooks, exercises, feedback, and written communications
- "Agreement" — these Terms & Conditions as accepted upon enrolment or use of the website
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, enrolling in a course, or using this website, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement
- You accept these Terms & Conditions in full
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the website or enrol in any course.
3. Course Description and Availability
Cerdas Academy offers online AI development courses delivered via structured modules, written exercises, tutor feedback, and where applicable, mentored capstone projects. Courses run in scheduled cohorts and availability is subject to enrolment capacity.
We reserve the right to reschedule a cohort where minimum enrolment is not met, with reasonable notice to confirmed learners. In such cases, learners may defer to the next available cohort or receive a full refund.
4. Enrolment and Account
- Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from us
- You are responsible for providing accurate contact and payment information
- Access credentials to course materials must not be shared with third parties
- We may suspend access if terms are breached, including misuse of materials
5. Payment Terms
- Course fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and include any applicable taxes
- Payment is due in full before course access is granted
- We accept bank transfer and online payment methods as confirmed during enrolment
- We do not store card payment details — payments are processed by our payment gateway
6. Refund Policy
- Before cohort start: A full refund is available if requested more than 7 days before the cohort begins
- Within 7 days of cohort start: A 50% refund is available
- After the first week of learning: No refund is available for the current cohort; deferral to a later cohort may be discussed on a case-by-case basis

7. User Responsibilities
As a learner or site visitor, you agree to:
- Use the website and course materials for lawful personal study purposes only
- Not reproduce, redistribute, or publish course materials without written permission
- Submit your own work for exercises — not another person's work presented as your own
- Communicate with tutors and staff respectfully
- Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to course platforms or other learners' data
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, notebooks, exercises, and content produced by Cerdas Academy remain the intellectual property of Cerdas Academy. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use course content for your personal study during the active cohort period.
Work submitted by learners (exercises, projects) remains owned by the learner. By submitting, you grant us permission to use anonymised excerpts for quality assurance and course improvement purposes.
9. Completion Documents
Learners who complete all required exercises and submit all graded projects within a cohort may receive a Cerdas Academy completion document. Completion is at our discretion based on submission quality and completeness. Completion documents do not constitute accredited qualifications or certifications under Malaysian educational authority frameworks.
10. Disclaimers
- Courses are provided "as is" and represent our best effort at quality instruction
- We do not make claims about employment outcomes, salary changes, or career progression
- Learning outcomes vary based on prior knowledge, effort, and individual circumstances
- Course content reflects the state of the field at the time of publication and may not reflect the most recent developments
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cerdas Academy's liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our courses or website is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant course. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or loss of expected results.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cerdas Academy, its instructors, and staff against claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of course materials, or violation of applicable law.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to course materials if you breach these terms. You may withdraw from a course at any time, subject to the refund terms in Section 6. Upon termination, your licence to use course materials ends, though your right to access materials you were accessing at the time of withdrawal may be discussed.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of Malaysian courts. We encourage informal resolution in the first instance — please contact us at [email protected] before initiating formal proceedings.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we will notify enrolled learners by email. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
